Online anxiety therapy

Online therapy for anxiety

If your mind won't stop, your body feels wired, or sleep isn't coming — you're not alone. Anxiety is one of the most common reasons people start therapy, and one of the things that responds best to focused psychological work.

I'm Cristina López, a licensed health psychologist (AO11331). I work online, in Spanish and English, with adults who want to understand their anxiety and learn to manage it day to day.

Do any of these feel familiar?

A body under tension

Knot in the stomach, tight chest, racing heart with no medical cause.

A mind that won't rest

Looping thoughts, constant anticipation, trouble focusing.

Sleep off track

Trouble falling asleep or waking up feeling like you didn't rest.

Emotions close to the surface

Irritability, tears for no clear reason, feeling you can't control your reactions.

Avoiding things you used to do

Places, situations or people that now feel scary or overwhelming.

Not quite feeling like yourself

As if you lost track of who you were and don't know how to find your way back.

How I work with anxiety

Therapy isn't about silencing anxiety, but about understanding what it's trying to tell you and building concrete tools so it stops running your life. I use an integrative, evidence-based approach — cognitive-behavioural tools, emotion regulation, mindfulness, and personal-history work when it's needed.

Every person is different, so the work adapts to you: what's happening, where you are right now, and what you want to change. In the first few sessions we take time to map the whole picture — body, thoughts, emotions and context — and then work with focus.

Why online works for anxiety

  • ·Starting is easier: no commuting, no exposing yourself before you're ready.
  • ·You attend from your safe space, which makes hard topics easier to talk about.
  • ·Flexible scheduling that fits real life.
  • ·Continuity if you travel, move cities, or live abroad.

Frequently asked questions

How long does anxiety therapy take?

It depends on where you start, but many people see clear changes between sessions 6 and 10. I don't work with fixed packages — we review progress together and decide session by session.

Can I do therapy if I'm on medication?

Yes. Psychological therapy works alongside any medication prescribed by your doctor or psychiatrist. We work in parallel, not against.

What if I have panic attacks?

Panic attacks respond very well to therapy. We start by understanding what triggers them and giving you tools to manage them, then work on reducing their frequency until they stop showing up.
